Welcome - Your research assistant is waiting to help you at no charge!
If you are looking for an internet resource to help you teach your Advanced Placement* or International Baccalaureate biology, physics or chemistry course, here's what we can do for you:
- Direct you to APDL's reviewed Internet sources for information to help you teach your AP, Pre-AP, or IB biology, physics or chemistry courses.
- Help you incorporate digital resources into your teaching.
- Help you find additional Internet resources not currently available in APDL.
- Save you time and effort.
 How to use us
- What you have to do:
Just tell us what you're looking for by filling out this simple form, and we will do your searching for you. The form will help us customize to your needs. - For best results, please make sure that you send in your requests at least 3 school days before you need a response.
- We will do our best to find appropriate resources for you based upon the information you provide. However, as you can imagine we cannot guarantee that we will find suitable material to meet your needs in all cases.
What we will do: We will first search through the over 1000 reviewed sites in APDL for you and, if needed, will then search the web to find appropriate resources. We will email you, promptly, with suitable resources for you to use. If we were unsuccessful, a possibility if the topic is unusual, we will email you regardless.
About the project
Funded by a grant from the Micron Foundation for the academic year 2005-06, this service
is made available to you free of charge through the Rice University School of Continuing
Studies. Known for its dedication to the professional development of teachers of advanced
courses, the School developed the Advanced Placement Digital Library as a collection of approved
Internet resources for AP biology, chemistry, and physics teachers and students, with a grant from the National Science Foundation.
The Micron Foundation, seeking to help improve and expand science education, is
helping the School to expand upon APDL by funding a direct link from individual teachers to
a research assistant who will find additional resources as needed to help teachers use
technology to improve their teaching.
